    Responsible for successful lead generation and move ins  from the community at large to the community. The Business Development Coordinator targets referral sources and other community resources from among the professional medical community, various community associations for the purposes of promoting services and on-site assessment of prospective residents.  The primary responsibility will be to manage relationships of key referral sources and other community resources for the purpose of: educating referral sources to our products and services and to expedite care coordination and follow-up to ensure successful resident transition.  The Business Development Coordinator is part of the inside sales team and will also support inside sales functions, as needed.

    Essential Functions

     

    • Create, plan and implement with Sales and Marketing Team and Resident Program Director events to bring in prospective residents such as but not limited to: seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights.
    • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with residents, families and professional providers of care.  
    • Defines, develops key macro referral sources and maintains relationships with them working closely with the Sales teams – handling the customer service aspects of a new referral or service issue.
    • Provides ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the marketing to trade organizations, hospital departments, physicians and others
    • Participates in professional societies and activities related to senior-living industry as appropriate.
    • Works with Director of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plan to achieve quarterly move-in objectives.
    • Plans and executes territory call objectives to build and maintain multiple senior-related community resource networks.
    • Supports inside sales with prospects including but not limited to:  lead follow up, inquiries, sales coverage inside the community, securing move-ins.
    • Communicates in timely manner with the Executive Director, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Sales and Marketing regarding initiatives in progress that may generate referrals to the community
    • Manages and maintains a thorough working proficiency and keeps professional contact records current in the sales database
    • Fully comprehends and can explain to others the basic legal aspects of sales contracts, language and terms
    • Maintains a working knowledge of all software programs.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
    • Provide assistance to the Sales and Marketing Director with special assigned projects.
    • Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Interacts professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, residents, family members, etc.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university.  Or two to three years’ experience and or training, or equivalent of education and experience.  Previous sales/admission experience in senior living.
